As a kid my mate had a big rangy Deerhoundy type that could swim like an otter and retrieve ducks, geese an anything else that we'd bladder from the opposite bank with our 4.10's. When 'ol Jet died, we had to make do with a cod hook... Quote Link to post

sandymere 8,263 Posted December 18, 2013 Report Share Posted December 18, 2013 They will all get used to it, I start mine in the river retreiving a ball during the summer and by the winter they are happy to face the sea/waves. My long runs are by the river and round to the sea and the dogs tag along and use the water to cool down summer and winter. 1 Quote Link to post
