no problem mate glad to be of service ye for an hour you saved 80quid mate and have the gun legal again n id go a little lower mate to mybe 11.4 then atleast its not goig to go over

Sandwell field sports are ok whilst things are going well, but when theres a problem its a diffrent matter. There are much better gun shops around,but you dont see them on youtube!! thank god ££££

I also have a bsa r 10 that was a little low at only 9.4 lbs with accupells and again they had to send it to bsa to have it tuned, this was under warranty.

if you buy a rifle from a shop,they send it back to the manufacturer,because its still under warranty,its not there problem! it has to go back to the manufacturer. i ment in general,not aimed at you its called procedure

 

as you! didn't buy the daystate from SFS,they have every right to charge you,as it is a "you can call it third hand"

i think you need to let everyone else know,why the power was over !

 

SFS have a good reputation,and to come on a open forum and run them down its not good for them,especially when you have only told half the story,about the power.

To elaborate a bit more I discovered the anti tamper to have been drilled, what's to say it wasn't like this when said family member bought it?

 

4) the post wasn't about wether to or wether no to pay the shop to do the work, it was a request for help so I didn't have to spend the money needlessly.

5) I never said this was bought from daystate, I always said it was pre owned.

I never told you the name of the shop via pm or any other way if I did feel free to prove me wrong.

 

If you read the thread thoroughly you would see that I wasn't in a position to fork out to have the gun brought back to limit, hence starting the thread..

 

Not once did I expect warrant to cover the rifle.

 

I was asking for help which I got.

 

And it's all back to how it should be, please don't try to put me down, I might not be able to put a smiley on that waves or highlight in colour to get my point across but can state the obvious. Thanks

getting it back is actualy a good sign tbh... they can keep it and say you dont have a FAC...

 

 

just for the by the by..

 

pcps get higher fp's from heavier pellets, springers higher fp's from lighter pellets.

 

consistancey wise, 5 feet per sec varience is good avareage shot to shot, 2 is excelent. (springers do strings of 1 fps shot to shot then change to another string of 1 or 2 fps..sort of three strings but always the same three..for a good set up)

 

pcp's, heres a vital.......... regged theres a dowards power curve only, e.g. full it starts at say 11.5fp's empty at 11 or 10.8 fp's.

unregged, it'll start at the 10.8 go up to its max the 11.5 then start to drop below the starting point. so tuning one involves a full fill string of shots over a chrono.

 

last but not least...always get a full fill readout, because all the above is only a rule of thumb, there are anomalies and always will be.

I tell you what pisses me off, when you buy something from a shop and when it goes wrong they start bleeting about the manufacturer..Well you didnt buy it off the manufacturer,you bought it from the shop. It is there problem as far as Im concerned. If they (shop) have issues with the manufacturer I dont want to hear about it.. By the way it was andy97 and myself who mentioned Sandwell field sports not jln.

Most gun shops best advice is usually to buy what they happen to be selling at the time.In my opinion its not always in our best interest and SFS is certainly no exception.
