there was an area i was hunting at the start of the year. it was literally like watership down. i had never seen so many rabbits in one area. well after the worst summer in over 40 years here in ireland the mixy has obliterated all of them. was out there yesterday. a one year old terreir was able to run them down and they were looking so sick it was unbeleivable. i put a few ferrets into the burrows but all we gor was one dead rabbit with mixy. there nothing left. its very sad

Apparently due to the wet summer, mosquito numbers have risen and are spreading it

Don't like myxy or mozy's

Flea's spread the disease, more of a problem in Spring and Autumn with warm and wet conditions down underground.

Wouldnt mozy's spread it too? If they transfer blood then that would do it. Do mozys bite bunnys then? :hmm:

this year is the worst i have ever seen mixy, 3 months ago i could drive a 1 mile track everyday to my farm and count 70-90 bunnies in the afternoon and now i am lucky to see 10 and 7 of them would have mixy. i wish i shot all the bunnies back then but i wanted to wait till they had grown so i could sell them.

There are flea's everywhere, they jump on your feet from the grass and hop off soon as they find something warmer. Hedgehog's/cat's/dog's could have passed the flea's on or even a fox!...If you have pet rabbits you need to vacinate them, or put them in the pot before they catch it...
