The answer to that Millet is really very simple. They are so insecure that they need to post photos to make themselve look importent, the funny thing is it ends up making them impotent. Feckin Idiots.

So if you ever wonder how ya got a knock on the door they just copy the URL from your photo, typeinto google Jeffrey's Exif viewer, copy and paste, then a map with the exact location of the photo is shown on google map. Its that easy.

Where is the URL on a photo please?

The URL is linked to any photo on this site. If you click any of the images, even attached to the forum, it has it's own URL that can be run through an EXIF analyzer.

They reveal a staggering amount of information about the camera/phone used. Even what model of phone/camera. I've yet to see any that reveal a location of where the pictures were taken though... Unless someone has the info.

It would be good to know. Security and all that.

most digital photos contain information on the device used, camera settings, date.time and those with enabled gps will also contain the location. you dont even need to go through the url any good editing software will display all the information just by copying the photo, another thing is try highlighting a photo and then right click and search Google for the image, you might be surprised at what you can find !! the mods on this site have been banging the picture security drum for as long as i can remember and remember this is my second account and i have had this one since 2005 so a long time, common sense it would appear aint that common

You are absolutely correct, sir, which would suggest the GPS was switched on. I've done a few of these searches, from time to time, but never had one with anything that linked to satellite maps! What makes it even scarier is that I'm not using the site you listed. I'm using a Firefox add on, so all I have to do is right click the picture for all the information. So it's even easier, and I'm using civilian technology!

Y'know, we all thought big brother was to do with the amount of surveillance cameras around us? Tracking our everyday movement? Check your pockets! By wanting the latest greatest iProduct we're doing their job for them!

It's staggering how much information we willingly divulge, with Facefook, Twatter, and Instagroin, but this is incredible. I mean we're talking high resolution satellite photography of where they were when they clicked the shutter, for the photo! It's even more pants shittingly terrifying when you compare their photo to the, to the publicly accessible Google Earth!

No one is going to give up their phones, I guess, so Orwell actually nailed it! If anyone wants to complain about the right to privacy they should look at their phone before opening their mouths.

We all work our dogs for different reasons I guess. I never have or would break any law, I feel no more need to photograph what my dog catches for the pot as I do photographing what my wife buys from the shop to go with it.

Is there any money in forums? I might start one called 'the shoplifting life' where people can post photos and generally drop themselves in the sh*t.
