Photos taken with phones or ipads have a geo-tag encoded within the photo that actually fingerprints the exact location the photo was taken. So if you ever wonder how ya got a knock on the door they

Would have thought finding your car ect would be a lot easier cheaper maybe I'm out of touch hunting the bunnys.

So how far can they go with this technology they've got, can they find out your name, address and what your phone number is even?

yes long slip, if they think you are in an area where there is setts being dug regular and they "ping" your fone even when its off and they have every detail they need to know about you, name address phone number the works. id imagine its in extreme cases they do this but prob going to get more common if it proves to be working!!

did you realise there are cameras that can take pictures of a human hair from 4000 miles away, ok so there made for space missions but it does demonstrate the level of technology that is out there

The implications are huge for this ability to locate you by a pic.......I certainly won't be putting pics up of dogs at my yard and making it easy for some c**t to come over the back fence.

if gps is turned off or a normal camera is used then there are no issues its the new smartphones that are the problem when it comes to picture url`s and locations due to there constant gps conection to the net,
