Fell Terrier

I'm interested in learning more about fell terriers are the just a hairy Patterdale? Do they add anything extra? Seen one today at a hunt a lovely size for foxes and game as they come I know you get good and bad in all dogs but if anyone could shine some light on them as i Rarely see them! Any pictures, stories,facts would be great as I will be getting a terrier next year once I retire my old black Bitch!

to me their THE terrier..... and ive got one hear from a very very good line, even thou she aint the dog she was she is getting on a lot in years but she has put stuff away and show up other dogs. she is retired due to haveing fits, but to my mind proper fells are diffrent to "patterdales" or smooth black dogs call them what you will

had......all gone. ive a lot of lads want a pup from her but she is getting on and i can find a decent sire....well i have but its getting the owner to agree!!
