Proof Marks?

hi all, just got this gun given and was wondering what this proof mark was.the one that kinda looks like a funny "n"

Is there a similar marking on the other barrel? I know some gun companies use stars and symbols to mark the permanent choke of that barrel.

i dont mean the one with the star above i mean the one to the left of that one. and yes both have the same marks

It's a date mark from the proof house in Liege,

 

I think it's 1979 but not 100% as the only diagram I have for them isn't brilliantly clear.
