fox digger 1,086 Posted December 20, 2013 Report Share Posted December 20, 2013 to get a licence for a shotgun in ireland you have to do have to do the course. Im the chairman in our local gun club and nobody that has come to us cannot get a shotgun without doing the course. What does the course consist of? basically a day course of theory in the mornung and then using a gun in the afternoon and proving you are safe and able to use the fire arm. then some shooting to make sure you are capable and not a liability!!
