Long slip77 9
Do any of you think that, wi way things are going, that in future, they'll start dishing out short spells in nick for lads caught coursing? Quote Link to post
Long slip77 9
Asking because if you take badger digging as an example, in 80's fines started getting higher, dogs started getting confiscated, laws amended, similar to what's happening now wi coursing, then when that didn't stop lads digging, in 90's prison sentences started getting handed out! Just a thought! Quote Link to post
inan 841
Do any of you think that, wi way things are going, that in future, they'll start dishing out short spells in nick for lads caught coursing? The Police have been very clever getting Joe Public to do their work for them''[if you see anyone with a greyhound type of dog ring us",] [" dont approach them ,many of them are dangerous violent criminals and drug pushers,"]. All the time they can portray coursers as such they will keep the public's support, and lets not forget the intiative for Galilieo came as a response from landowners pig sick of poachers all over their fields ,trashing crops ,threatening them and in some isolated instances causing them physical injury .The NFU decided enough was enough. I would not be at all surprised if an accomodation was reached enabling custodial sentences to be given to those with form. One of the stalwarts of the game was tazered this year, and from what I have been told he was in the process of legging it, not offfering any threat whatsoever.A year ago I would have not believed it would have happened , but it has. You don't have to complete a course of any sort to own either a shot gun, or a firearm , in the UK, neither do you need a firearms licence for a shotgun ,a shotgun licence is all that is required.
