Someone To Look After Pup

Recommended Posts

Am off to ireland next year to visit family, probaly about june/july.. If i cant find anything decent for pup i wont go. Anyone here able to help out? Few beers, some £ and dog food in it for right place. Id rather leave her with a decent member here than some random kennel(not a option). Geez a pm if you can help, cheers.

Boarding Kennels do have a down side like having to pay £21 for kennel cough vaccine. plus your boosters have to be up to date, or its no admission.

The good thing is, your dog should be looked after, and will be there when you get back.

I use them, someone did offer to take him in, but you never know if they would be safe, anything could happen, escape, get run over, etc etc.

The trouble with boarding kennels is the story I got told in the pub last week a bloke came in while me and a few other beaters were in he had found a springer running about the road so he picked it up as you would took it home got it cleaned up down the usual thing took it too the vets cheack for microchip see if he could find the owner too return the dog well no luck had no chip so he's wife put it on Facebook hoping someone local knew who's it was well after 3 days the couple that owns the dog were in lanzarote and seen it on Facebook too little did they know the boarding kennels that was looking after the dog had not even tried too contact them too tell them there dog had even run away imaging being away on holiday and the kennels has not even botherd too ring you too tell you your dog has escaped them and run off well that's one reason enuff never too leave a dog at a boarding kennels I suppose

Same sort of thing happend to a family member years back, she went away on holiday and put her wee shetland collie into boarding kennels she returned from her holiday and went to collect her dog and was told it had escaped and not been found, as you can imagine she was not best pleased and took legal action against the boarding kennels and was rightfully compensated, but as said before I wouldn't trust boarding kennels atall

I suppose this could happen, I have used kennels a few times, and know a lot of dog owners who also use them, and never been any problems.

I use kennels for our cocker he gets good care main problem with them is they keep giving him back

You just need to find one thats been around a few years with a good rep then you shouldn't have any problems other than the expense of course
