ferretman89 68
Hi all just wondered if anybody has insurance for their working dogs. If so what type of insurance, where from and how much? My dog recently needed stitches and ended up being £190 vet bill, so i was thinking of getting some sort of insurance in case anything should happen to him when out working Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
I'm with Pet plan. £35 a month for both of mine. Covered upto £3000 and they deal with vets direct so no messing about. £75 excess. 1 Quote Link to post
Kemperz21 65
Pet plan between £20 and £30 per month for a lifetime policy I have not had to claim yet thankfully so I cannot comment on the after service Quote Link to post

Country Joe 1,411
I was with Argos, had to claim the maximum after my Whippet was badly injured, they did pay up, but it took a few phone calls, from myself and also the Animal Hospital he was in. Now with Petplan, had a small injury, after claim went in the paid up in three days, good service. Quote Link to post

Surely if you have not claimed before in that year you should still be covered? Then if something happens again you are left with only £500 to cover you? Quote Link to post
Kemperz21 65
You would think so but there is a max amount payable for a single injury/claim and a max amount for the year I read many plans before deciding on pet plan life long Quote Link to post
