danw 1,748
ok, i dont get it. If its as near as good as a CF and the "charts" show this then why wouldnt they be granted a CF. here no difference in what the guns will do. All have potential to kill at more than 300 yards is this purely about cost? Isnt it better to learn to get in close on vermin, deers, etc anyway? Failing that, there's always the armed forces.......................................They have sniper selection available LOL every reply to that I tried didn't sound right mate so I,ll just go with Born Hunter had a very similar experience off that valley And im STILL smiling about it Dan! Everybody that will give me an "Alright Ben" has had their ear burnt off! Thanks again mate. Just got my FAC posted for my rimmys mate. like I said mate anytime you want to pop down give us a bell have you had any of the roe yet? 1 Quote Link to post

You don't have to worry about that mate, I'll be back in the new year! haha Yeah, I didn't want to hang it too long in this mild weather (no game chiller). I had the fillet steaks just pan fried, roasted the haunch for my parents on Sunday and gave the shoulders to a mate for Xmas. The rest is in the freezer. Beautiful meat, as Roe always is! 1 Quote Link to post

hutchey 147
I could have had a lovely buck if only it was on season. Great looking head it had. Got home and spent an hour piecing it all up and into freezer already sized for meals. Had a casserole, some steaks and made some sausages out of it so far. So damn tasty, looking for nice recipes to have the rest with! BH - how are you getting on with the heads? Any pics yet? 2 Quote Link to post

I've got ideas so far hutchey, but for the time being I just want to be out making the most of the season while it's here. Got ferreting, ratting, pigeon shooting, lamping and a few walk up days planned plus our three remaining offical shoot days......... and of course bugging Dan another day soon I'm sure . The fallow antlers are lovely though! And I reckon the sika will be ideal for a little dinning room table center piece.... Got ideas! Quote Link to post
