Gaz_1989 9,539
I always try to keep mine ticking over as much as possible when she's in season so that I don't have the issue of trying to get her fitness back after a 3-4 week rest. I increase the road work significantly and lamp twice a week instead of 4 times a week but also keep it pretty low intensity. Just a handful of runs on bunnys. She tends to be a hormonal cow and isn't exactly a "pleasure" to work when she's in season anyway. Some lads rest them completely though. Quote Link to post
slip lead 862
You can get them jabbed up to stop them coming into season does the job just have to have it done about 10-14 days before showing. I use to let her have alternative seasons didn't do her any harm. She didnt come into season until she was about 4 when I rejuiced her work load. Quote Link to post
