my uncles 2 i use here , unreal mooching dogs the dog on the left is really strong ! flush pheasant and hare from anywhere for fun !

game as anything they have ran fox but not fast enough not been used for digging

I had one...the one on the left in this pic. Although she looked like a leggy yorkshire terrier

The one next to her was a patt x border, then a lakie x fell. She trained up a treat, i could even take her ferreting.

 

 

She was never dug to though, she was a mooching dog, but by god she got stuck into everything, loved it.

She did have a psychopathic personality, would have nothing to do with anyone or anything, but that might have been down to her rearing, i should have known when i went to get her (In the days when i did not know better) and the guy came out of a pub to show me the litter of pups and parents, crammed in the boot of his car

See if i can scan a pic tomorrow of my old bitch , id describe her the same as molls , like a yorky but she wasnt long legged and had a terrible coat probily the worst ive seen on any terrier but she was a headcase and loved to work .looking back i dont think ive had one as good

Sounds the same Steve, Molly (That was her name) had a linty coat also, coarse in places but mostly lint.

They sound the same , peggy had a terrible under coat , it didnt take much for her to look like a drowned rat

The coat seemed to part in the middle straight down her back ,

I would have thought that having border blood would have ensured she had a decent thick coat

 

often wonderd though if the original yorkies where a mix of border lakey blood ?

I had one, hunted her for 11 seasons absolute clinker of a wee bitch, used her for digging and bolting, she was probably the best terrier i ever had very hard though
