Ocset 91
I use a Vitara. It's a lot better off road than people think. The only problem is, it hasn't got the room that a disco or Subaru have. It's only small but so is my dog.
jack lee 137
go disco mate,if it rots buy another one, there cheap and good old workhorses, just keep plenty oil in them, and go for it
BIG G wheton machine 1,594
the landys run on all sorts like 3 ltr home heating oil to 1 ltr cooking oil mixed then smells like chips out the back, but the titanic was better at keeping water out. check chassis, boot floor, sills, rear arches, front arches and foot wells. as they rot like a beastard

fireman 10,869
I've got a forester, takes 5 dogs in the back,3 terriers,2 lurchers easy enough, compfy to drive and i don't need the likes of a land rover as i don't go over landing as it were and it copes with the muddy lanes and tracks i drive up just fine.Down side is low ground clearance and it likes it's petrol at around 25 mpg,but like i say nice and comfy to drive and being jap good engines with plenty of miles in them.. slip lead 862
Pertrol Freelanders blow head gaskets so if you must have one go for a diesal the newer ones have engines from bmw
