Guest SJM
I lined my working border collie bitch recently, its a bit early to tell yet if shes in pup but I thought I would stick a post on see if anyone is going to be looking for a well bred collie pup in the near future. The bitch is a red merle, her grandsire is the world and english trials champion of 2005 "York" and her dam's side is a long line of Welsh agility dogs. She stands approx 22" -23" tall and is a very lean, leggy example of a border collie. The dog she has been mated with is of a similar stamp, tall, lean and racy, he is a black tri colour and a good honest working dog, sheep and cattle, also standing around 22" - 23". The pups will be Kennel Club registered, ear tattooed, wormed x 3, homeopathically vaccinated and come complete with a puppy pack, pedigree and lifetime aftersales help/backup etc. These pups wont be suitable for showing or as pets as they will have high prey/work drive and if not channeled into something suitable, they can be highly destructive and boisterous dogs. Both parents have high drive and are impossible to tire out. They would be ideal for anyone wanting a well bred dog to train for stock work, or as a possible start for a line of collie lurchers. (I plan to mate this bitch with a greyhound next year when she has done a bit more in the field to have proven herself as so far shes mostly worked livestock) Pups will be around £250, before anyone says they think this is too dear, the current prices for KC Reg, non working, show fluffball collies is £300 - 600 so for a pup bred from workers I think its reasonable enough I will be keeping a pup from this litter myself hence the reason the matings been done. Interested persons can feel free to PM me. Sorry I dont have any pics of the dog uploaded to my comp yet, but here is the bitch PS I have a shepherd pal who has just lined his red tri kelpie bitch to a registered red tri kelpie dog, both parents working, could be a good litter for anyone interested in pure kelpies off genuine working stock. PM if interested and I will pass on details
