DazAllison1 556 Posted December 8, 2013 Report Share Posted December 8, 2013 The misses is keen on getting a cocker for the wee ones birthday in the summer and I'm keen on 1 from working stock so that I can use it for some bushing/flushing for the lurchers, so I'm wondering is there anyone on here or knows anyone planning a litter of cockers in the spring/summer? digging down south 1 Posted December 11, 2013 Report Share Posted December 11, 2013 there ideal for bushing along side the lurcher if trained right?. I run two working cockers for shooting and bushing and do pretty well at both. I am breeding my in the summer but am the other end of the country but there will be some near you, just check the lines out before buying but there are a lot of litters around. Quote Link to post

In have a spring er booked and am looking forward to working the springer for the lurcher. I know of a very good litter of working cockers the bitch has been mated, you would need to be quick because they wont be about long, dog is FTC from rytex kennel. pm me if your serious mate Quote Link to post

Its Saluki x I keep mate and their not really the best hunters with their nose, a gundog type would suit better and the misses is keen on a cocker for the wee ones birthday in the summer so it'll be the best of both worlds, a good family pet for the misses and the wee one aswell as out with me flushing to the lurchers Quote Link to post

I dont agree, well bred lurchers can do a good turn but not in the same league as lab,cocker,springer iagree mate a lurcher not as good as a proper bushing dog be it a terrier or gun dog cocker lab springer but there not made for that saying that all depends on lurcher a small lurcher a beddy would if trained right Quote Link to post
