aye up guys

looking for my first pcp but don't know which one to go for , i usually shoot powder burners .22lr and shot guns .

i fancy a bsa r10 also the daystate huntsman and the weihrauch hw 100 but it's on the heavy side also like the air arms s410 .

my friend has a ultra se, only had a few months and the mag started jamming took it back and got a new mag , and now it's pissed all it's air out ,so looks like another trip back to the shop just wondered what bsa's are like on quality and reliability , to be honest it's put me off them

just after some feedback on the above rifles please

cheers shergar

The ultra is normally good from new and even better when run in . The HW 100 kt or ks is lighter than the r10 and HW100 and a far better gun than the r10

The huntsman regal is a great gun to but expect it to be under powered and may be other problems to .

I have the ultra m/s with a reg in .177 , HW100KT .22 and the Daystate Huntsman regal .177 . Had the r10 which was a lovely gun but I hated it , all so had the HW100 full length found it to long .

The Regal is a lovely gun to hold and to shoot but with a heavy price tag . The ultra will match any top price airgun pellet for pellet . The HW100 kt is some thing else two mags one of the best silencers and the best cocking system . If I had to keep only one then it would be HW100kt .22 I just think this gun has every thing you want in a airgun .

Best to try them all , then buy the HW100KT :laugh:

Right Shergar or should that be Tesco's Finest? First things first, ignore Pickering Guns, their prices are enough to give you ruddy heart failure, I know, they want more than the new price for secondhand guns. Get over to Redbeck who are near Wakefield, nice trip out, make a morning of it, leave she who must be obeyed in the shopping village along the A64 near York and pootle over!

They have all the guns you are interested in there! See which one feels best to you first! That is the most important thing! Their prices are very good and they like putting together a bundle and setting you up nicely!

I have an HW100 KT in .22, reliable as heck. Same goes for the Huntsman, lovely guns!

There have been a lot of quality problems with BSA rifles over recent years, the wife had a Scorpion SE when they were first released, would not group, tried all different pellets, fill pressures, the works, still grouped like a shot gun and was returned to BSA under warranty, they did fix it with a new barrel!

The R10 had a rocky release, bad quality throughout the mark 1, then all seemed to go well with the mark 2, before suddenly developing a lot of problems again (mind you all the rifles now seem to be either great or crap from BSA). A wise move could well be to buy a secondhand R10 if you like them, then get it blueprint tuned by John Bowkett! Seems to stop the problems.

Hw100kt.

Nuff said?

Had a s410k aswel but hw100 is in a different league mate!

Daystates sorry GAYstates look good dont get me wrong but the hw100 is the better gun to shoot apparently. After shooting with my hw100kt i know its the only precharged rifle i would ever need

Ultra is rated highly on here especially by villaman :p:laugh:

Personally i dont like the r10

Only gun id rather have than my 100 would be my 97 or 98 lol

Had an HW100 S, S410 TDR and R10. After 6 months the HW100 went, after 5 years the S410 went. Left with the R10 and a S 10. I have to say that I love them both. Nothing wrong with the others at all, but I just prefer the R10.

Mine is a later Mk 1 that had an X tune by Darrin at XTX, Brilliant gun and so accurate!

The air arms are very accurate reliable guns

I never had a problem with the magazines , obviously not as good as the HW but still effective. some say long pellets cause problems tho ?

build quality is spot on, apparently they are very easy to strip and work on. im ok with springers but I wouldn't want to mess around inside a pcp

the AAs410k is lighter than the hw100 but I prefer a heavy rifle. most say for a days hunting a lighter rifle is better, not me!

neither will let you down both highly recommended.

I was going to get another s410k - stick to what I know - instead of the hw100 , but I fancied something different so I tried a couple of hw100s and they just felt right for me so I had to have one!

------------

either rifle, 410 or 100 will do its job with ease and wont let you down its about what you want from the rifle.

if you like heavy hw lighter AA

Another HW100T man here, love it, seen mates go through 4-5 guns and still not settle, wouldn't swap mine for the world.

agree with this, had a few including an s410 and used a lot of friends guns but this is probably the best i've used,we all have different views and expectations so try a few and see which is best for you but if you decide on the hw100 i don't think you'll regret it for a second....
