MarcFloyd 18
Does anyone have any experience with the cheap equivalents of BSA ND3 green laser? Something like this for example : http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=181262194907

fireblade_rrw 20
Been using one for 2 years. Works well and better than scope mounted lights. I did a review on it if you want to search the forum.
MarcFloyd 18
Which one have you been using, mate?
fireblade_rrw 20
Which one have you been using, mate?ND3x50. Changed the mount as the original one isn't great. I cant search on Phone. If you have a look I've written a short review on it. I use it on .243 for foxes. Doesn't spook them same as a normal light. MarcFloyd 18
Right. What I'm after is a cheaper equivalent of ND3 and I wondered how these work. But it is good to know that the original thing work fine though.
moxy 617
I had an ND5 that had a bloody powerful beam but it wasn't for me. Not having tried the ND3 I can't offer a comparison between the two. The ND5 although it was an incredible beam it was shocking through a scope. Hard work to view the target at 40 yds and beyond that was hopeless. No or very little eye shine which made spotting hard work too. I had it mounted on a custom adjustable scope mount and on a 50mm objective lens. If I had paid full whack for it I would have been very disappointed. I'm not saying other folk don't get on with it but really not for me. Considering a cheap £20 Chinese torch off the bay made it look stupid.

Whilst you can pick up eyes (fox) to > 700M viewed through the scope, for shooting & proper shot placement your looking at around 150M. Dont get confused with the smaller & low power ND3 or ND5. The ND3X50 is much more powerful. I've tried countless torches & gun lights & always end up back with the ND3X50.
