Saluki246 1,053
Synulox antibiotic, i got it off the vets, had a similar infection on my lurcher bitches toe. Bath in luke warm salt water as well twice a day, helps, however, i would still go to a good vet, if it does not clear up.

skycat 6,173
That had to be really crap vet if he didn't prescribe antibiotics. Get some Animalintex poultice from a horse tack shop or farm shop. Follow the instructions for wet poultice. Leave poultice on for FOUR HOURS AND NO MORE: it is made for horses which have much thicker skin than dogs and it will melt the skin if you leave it on for too long ... AND get the dog on a course of good antibiotics straight away. Or see a better vet .....also straight away.
desertbred 5,490
It needs a poultice to draw the pus out looks like infection has got into the nail bed. try bathing it with cider vinegar and warm water to bring the pus up. . iT certainly needs a few jabs of broad spectrum antibiotics must be a plank of a vet not to prescribe any.
