Just The One Mixie Has Hit :(

Been out the passed couple of days, Unfortunatly mixie has hit my permission pretty bad, all the rabbits I have seen have had it, managed to put one out of its misery today, I was walking around and almost stumbled over it, didnt even have to watch about beng quiet, no pictures I'm affraid as they are pretty diseased. Cut the belly open and left it for the crows. Looks like winters having an effect.

 

Good news tho, my permission is starting to plough for the jersey royals, and I might be on some new permission at the start of the new year, keeping it hush hush because I don't want to get my hopes up, got a meeting in a weeks time for some serious amount of land.

The last two me and daz39 have shot have had mixie and not a lot left on my perm now got a bad feeling it may have wiped them out but good luck with the new land atvbmac :thumbs:

I get the odd rabbit on my mates permission when he goes but that's not often. haven't been down for a while so no update on the Myxi round there, didn't see any last year tho and none so far this year. Touch wood

It's wiped all the rabbits out on my permission been out on a regular basis with the dogs now for about 7 weeks and never seen a rabbit.

i have the same problem mate ... mixie has all but wiped the bunny population out on my main permission

sounds like i'm lucky with the amount of mixy about i have only seen one in august but nothing else all healthy, so far. but the numbers have been down a little but im putting it down to the winter and my shooting them regulary
