paulus 26
Nelson Mandela in his own words: 1. “We agree with the United Nations that international disputes should be settled by peaceful means. The belligerent attitude which is adopted by the Israeli government is to us unacceptable. If one has to refer to any of the parties as a terrorist state, one might refer to the Israeli government, because they are the people who are slaughtering defenseless and innocent Arabs in the occupied territories, and we don’t regard that as acceptable.” 2. “Neither Bush nor Tony Blair has provided any evidence that such weapons exist [in Iraq]. But what we know is that Israel has weapons of mass destruction. Nobody talks about that. Why should there be one standard for one country, especially because it is black, and another one for another country, Israel, that is white.” 3. “If there is a country that has committed unspeakable atrocities in the world, it is the United States of America. They don’t care for human beings.” 4. “From its earliest days, the Cuban Revolution has also been a source of inspiration to all freedom-loving people. We admire the sacrifices of the Cuban people in maintaining their independence and sovereignty in the face of the vicious imperialist-orquestrated campaign to destroy the impressive gain made in the Cuban Revolution….Long live the Cuban Revolution. Long live comrade Fidel Castro.” 5. “Massive poverty and obscene inequality are such terrible scourges of our times — times in which the world boasts breathtaking advances in science, technology, industry and wealth accumulation — that they have to rank alongside slavery and apartheid as social evils. Overcoming poverty is not a gesture of charity. It is an act of justice. It is the protection of a fundamental human right, the right to dignity and a decent life. While poverty persists, there is no true freedom

Blackbriar 8,569
The then-President PW Botha told Mandela that he would be released from prison,if he renounced violence. He refused at the time, and never did so, during his life. Even during his time in prison, he sanctioned, and refused to condemn, countless acts of violence - most of the victims were, in fact, the people he claimed to represent. By his own admission, one of many actions directly sanctioned by Mandela, the peace-bringer, was this act of community cohesion.............. http://news.bbc.co.uk/onthisday/hi/dates/stories/may/20/newsid_4326000/4326975.stm

Dead Eyes 681
Can someone please explain how this fella is any different from Bin Laden Both believed themselves to be fighting for the liberation of their people Both were figureheads of this struggle Both bombed tortured and mrdered innocents Both held incredible weapons stockpiles Both were banned from the USA (until Rice got involved) Both have turned potentially prosperous places in stinking mud holes He did a fantastic job for the blacks of south africa. Now theyre overrun with murderous vigilantism Don't get me wrong, I agree with his message. I disagree with the way he brought that message Bit like Gerry Adams though isn't it? "we do not deal or negotiate with terrorists" (unless we fancy it)

WILF 46,663
Good to see the voice of oppression is alive and well on THL Africans can't run a bath never mind a country, old Nelson like all good communists was happier seeing everyone poor in a hell hole than a few people rich in a well run place. The country will now be systematically raped by various leaders on the payroll of foreign corporations, and we will look back and say "what a lovely place that was once" just like Rhodesia. Another example of how communists free everyone into a living prison . Seeing as you like the eagles mate, I will give you a line: "Freedom, oh freedom......well that's just people talking"
