Ground was frozen solid here last night anything other than pasture was like concrete. Enough about tho

Mild down here and the wind dropped leaving just the odd heavy shower, good night though, 1st rabbit was like a jack in the box, as the dog ran in it just kept leaping straight up, not the odd time, as some do but about 6 times till the dog got to it. When he brought it back it had a deformed hock joint so perhaps that’s the answer, odd to see though. The next ran back down the beam into a timely placed wellie! Basically the beggars seemed to be queuing up to get in the bag so a couple of hours and I had arm/back ache and decided to head home. Minor scratch to dogs face other wise all intact.

Feck me,, I can't ever remember being as cold as I was last night,,,, rooky mistake,,, my wooly hat is a little baggy,, and kept lifting off,,,not to mention the frozen ground,,, I had looked at the wind strength on acuweather,, but forgot the temp,, it was frozen solid,,, and whilst on the tuffty long grass,, it was ok,,,as soon as I stepped on well grazed fields,, the poor dog was fecked,,, in fact,, apart from lifting some straight out the seat,,, she point blank refused to run,,, and who could blame her,,, well I called it a night at 24,,, and vin had got 15,, lower down ,,, a marked contrast to Monday night wich saw me catching 42,, all down to ground conditions.

 

 

Im soo glad the missis made me wear my new hat..hehee..i was nice and toasty..I even got a bit of a dab on a one point.

 

the ground was like concrete and made som much noise walking on it also with every puddle being solid ice etc etc.

 

poor pup was struggling to keep up and turn the little pesky critters..lol.

 

I was very happy with 15 very very hard earned bunnies off the lower pastures..she missed a good few..but did some great retreives etc etc and one back over the gate with bunny all the way in to hand.. it was a proud moment..lol.

 

I fell asleep on way home..( 3 days in a row on the dales can be tiring ).

 

Got dropped off by Tomo and ..my bloody van would'nt start...lol. had to get the jump leads out and beg a stranger for a hook up..lol.
