paulus 26
The retirement age is to rise to 68 and the normal is that 1/3 of an adults life is expected to be spent in retirement, do the really expect people to believe they are all going to live until their 102 im sorry to say around here if you reach the mid 70`s you are very lucky, why dont they just say they can no longer afford to pay pensions and be done with it. paulus 26
Have you not noticed that the run of the mill politician is averse to telling the truth, its almost like its pathalogical with no cure. but its so obvious if you listen that its bollocks, yet very few question what they're being told, i have never, ever, ever known anyone even live to 100 around here never mind
Brewman 1,192
I think the masses are fed up and don't question more out of feeling they're wasting their time. If you then add to the mix that the majority of politicians are arrogant, superior in their own minds, wealthy and out of touch and are often condescending to the public it's no surprise and the cnuts will never have to rely on the likes of a state pension.
The one 8,485
I think with better health care etc more older people are living longer , and the dole queues are getting longer the few that are working are going to have to work longer so there taxes pay for the upkeep of the country

Born Hunter 17,783
We can sit here and knock it all we want, that's real easy. Fact is the state pension age has to go up, it's completely unsustainable! Why should we get 1/3 of our lives in retirement? For that matter why should we be allowed to retire on the state at all? They'll sell it too us (the public) however they think best, whether it's bollocks or not, what isn't bollocks is that it has to go up.

That's politics, there's shit that has to be done for the good of the country that would be to the detriment of the party. It's then up to the spin doctors to try and get everybody to buy it.
