Remember the day on the Forley cup land when Chris was with us TK and he slipped Captain and ran off into the horizon. Jim, Tony, you and I carried on coursing and at the lunch time rendezvous back at the farm Chris turned up without his dog? Turned out the dog had crossed the canal to the other fen and had been ran ragged at hare after hare before we drove across and eventually caught him up several hours after the initial slip. Chris was a mighty relieved man that day.

They was Buggers for scarpering off......trust me! You didn't want to be on the receiving end of Chris when they had............

I believe that chris's Captain never ran in the Forley Cup. Was not that incident where Captain crossed onto another fen in a different comp? Chris ran Sploge in the Forley and sploge was runner up twice and here is where my memory might be suspect but was it to Pick and the second time to Tina. Happy Days.

Week or so later runner up in the Forley cup

And same season won a 16 dog invitation stake

Think it was 2004 or 5
