Neoleaver 55
Killing is part of living, every living thing is food for something else.....but taking any life is a serious business to do it for kicks or sport...I dont understand. My lad came shooting with me the other day and we despatched a bunny the young lad handn't quite got a clean headshot on. He asked me if he was 'soft' to feel a 'bit sad' for the life he'd took...I said no I feel it every time son. Its not a Ps3 game, its real life....I'm a man not a machine. 2 Quote Link to post

Now that's probably one of the least accurate statements i've seen on here. Like i've said a thousand times, there is a right and a wrong way to go about everything. And thats definataly true of killing things! 5 Quote Link to post

There's nothing weak or 'wrong about that for me.......like I said we're men not machines. 1 Quote Link to post
Huan72 687
If you want to eat meat then something has to die, but that animal has the right to die as humanely and quickly as possible.......................I wonder if we suddenly became a prey species for an alien species, and they showed us the same level of humanity to us as some on here do to animals, how many of us would have wished we had changed our ways ..................well it makes me think anyway. Its not big or macho to have a "don't give a s**t" attitude when it comes to killing...................so show some respect..................someone once told me ...............look after animals and nature will look after you.............we are part of the natural world but we are blessed with the ability to "feel".......................its nothing to be ashamed of, it just reminds you that your human 4 Quote Link to post
morton 5,368
Ive stood transfixed at times watching a challenging gallop, with each near miss ive often wished for the quarry to make a final dash to cover and escape, the sheer joy and elation of the catch, especially after a very challenging run,is often soon met with a twinge of regret and sadness on my part.Yet in reality the main aim and purpose is the catch,if i was no longer to find it sporting,id desist from my actions.
