Starting To Feel Bad

Recommended Posts

Killing is part of living, every living thing is food for something else.....but taking any life is a serious business to do it for kicks or sport...I dont understand. My lad came shooting with me the other day and we despatched a bunny the young lad handn't quite got a clean headshot on. He asked me if he was 'soft' to feel a 'bit sad' for the life he'd took...I said no I feel it every time son. Its not a Ps3 game, its real life....I'm a man not a machine.

I have never lost that twinge of regret when dispatching quarry ,when I can kill some living thing and feel nothing then I will pack in .

Agree fully.   I respect every rabbit killed and make sure non is wasted. I don't get people ( morons I think they called) who just kill for the fun of it. If you goner kill it use it otherwise get

If you can make them out through your tears you mean?

some shite on here at times. if your hunting and killing rabbits hurts you more than the rabbit then its time to pack it in. anybody who hunts and calls others cruel is hypocrits. killing is killing

Killing is killing.

Now that's probably one of the least accurate statements i've seen on here.

Like i've said a thousand times, there is a right and a wrong way to go about everything.

And thats definataly true of killing things!

You're right mate killing is killing, but for me there's a difference between having some reverence for the life you've taken and gratitude and respect for the meat you've gained.......and taking it for granted without a thought, like its just one more point scored in a game. There's nothing weak or 'wrong about that for me.......like I said we're men not machines.

If you want to eat meat then something has to die, but that animal has the right to die as humanely and quickly as possible.......................I wonder if we suddenly became a prey species for an alien species, and they showed us the same level of humanity to us as some on here do to animals, how many of us would have wished we had changed our ways :hmm:..................well it makes me think anyway.

Its not big or macho to have a "don't give a s**t" attitude when it comes to killing...................so show some respect..................someone once told me ...............look after animals and nature will look after you.............we are part of the natural world but we are blessed with the ability to "feel".......................its nothing to be ashamed of, it just reminds you that your human

Ive stood transfixed at times watching a challenging gallop, with each near miss ive often wished for the quarry to make a final dash to cover and escape, the sheer joy and elation of the catch, especially after a very challenging run,is often soon met with a twinge of regret and sadness on my part.Yet in reality the main aim and purpose is the catch,if i was no longer to find it sporting,id desist from my actions.
