Price Relinquishes Belts

Recommended Posts

Good old Del Boy Chisora , He wasn't looking to restart he's career when he lost he just came back looking fitter. David Price has has mentally lost it and doesn't feel able to beat someone like Chisora. With some clever management they'll get him some bums to knock out and earn him a living !

Just read that David price has given up his British and commonwealth belts rather than defend them against chisora it doesn't seem that long ago he was calling fury funny how a fighter can change his

true but how embarrassed would I be if I did that. these big talkers are only kidding themselves. as elvis sang a little less conversation, a little more action please. what proper pro could be content by beating bums

David price Got beat by thomson twice. Shock horror. Its all over lol I have not heard one EXCUSE. From him

He went and sat down with his coach disscussed it and decided to part company. He has gone with booth who i have great respect as i did for franny , He has chosen to relinquish two titles. And try and rebuild his career. I wish him all the best , if and when He fights again We will see

doesn't annoy me im no fury fan, but hed wipe the floor with price. but to be honest the only decent one fury has beaten was chizora fair play that's 1 more than price, Tyson is young but he needs better management whos gona get fightrs for him to fight, if this is the easiest era for heavyweights should Tyson not be ko ing every challenger, not for the money but for the self respect and hunger to prove hes hungry and willing to challenge the top? and if he fails to reach the top does that mean h wasn't really that good in the 1st place. fury should fight price next just to get him out the way.

what the fook is the point in price going back to the drawing board again, hes been found wanting twice now. would he not be better taking decent fights than each time he gets knocked out,he goes backwards again.theres no point in him getting beat by someone then starting again, hes 30 now try moving forwards theres no point whatsoever in starting over again, amir khan took a couple of savage knockouts he never started again.does starting again mean fighting inferior fighters to get a few easy wins.

" amir khan took a couple of savage knockouts he never started again. "

Thats exactly what he did !!......With the best trainer he could find....................boxing,darts,table tennis it doesnt matter what it is......" going back to the drawing board " is what athletes sometimes have to do,it shows character and desire to do it as well its an admireable trait ..........................plodding out a living with no ambition in boxing puts you in the journeyman bracket and maybe Price feels he is more than a journeyman.....is that wrong ?

If in 2 years time he proves not to have what it takes at the highest level then so be it........but better to have given yourself the best chance than never to have known at all.

who has price beat before his 2 defeats, theres no point in going backwards because he lost 2 fights to the same boxer, whats he going to do if/when he gets beat again.does he then take another step back, theres only so many times you step backwards. is he now going to knock over a few journeymen to look good before having another go at making it to the top-which by the look of it hes never going to do that,he got easy fights to many times and when he needed to fight he got found out

Only in todays era of over protecting fighters can a 30 year old fighter be viewed as ready for the scrapheap because he lost a couple of fights..................Price was a good looking prospect who lost a couple.....it happens.................what should he do.....retire and go for his hgv licence ?

Its easy for fight fans to lose track of the fact that this is a profession......a living.............we all in any walk of life try to do our best and reach the top........how we get there doesnt matter just as long as we do.......and if we dont its not for the want of trying regardless what profession.

If he self manages and basically cons a gullible public like Harrison did then no......but he doesnt self manage and doesnt strike me as the sort of lad purely out to make a pound note.....or why go backwards ?

Adam Booth is a smart guy,he will of had long talks with Price, his family and people around him and made a conscious decision on direction to take...........should any/every fighter not carry on and fight decent boxers ?.......of course they should but they dont its not how the sport works sometimes you have to take 2 steps back to go 1 forward............did he give himself every chance first time round ? he clearly doesnt feel he did whats the problem with going back to do more learning ?........or should he stick around so we can watch him get chinned again, after all our entertainment is far more important than his career eh !
