Mk1 Deben Ferret Finder Question

Just a quick question about the mk1 collar as I've just bought one. Do you remove the battery from the collar when its not in use, unscrew it a few threads or just leave it as it is?

turning the battery over is the best bet so it's not connected

I take it you turn it over rather than remove it so you don't lose it?

I take them out and keep them in a wee plastic box in there packets with the collars and put the box in the game bag so i have a few spares when im out but turning it is just as good

If it's a Mk1 8ft ferret collar that takes a single LR44 battery I would leave it in, it will last 3 to 4 months. Any other collar take the battery(s) out otherwise you will need new ones every 10 to 15 days.

It only takes 1 battery so it must be a mark 1, I bought it thinking it was a mk 1 but wouldn't have known either way, so thanks.
