stealthy1 3,964
If the this type of energy cant be taxed over and over again, then governments will smother it every time, and have done since energy was discovered.
Born Hunter 17,775
If the this type of energy cant be taxed over and over again, then governments will smother it every time, and have done since energy was discovered. I don't believe that, if it's got potential it'll be exploited and whichever country invested in the technology would lead the world in it and it's economy would benefit hugely. I don't buy all that conspiracy NWO crap personally. But it's not gonna be hard to 'smother' this one, it's a nuclear reactor! LOL
stealthy1 3,964
Can you imagine the cost of insurance, and if two women had a slight prang and the air bags went off, you could kiss goodbye to a couple of county's

LOL It says its steam powered ,,, has a turbine Nuclear energy produces heat like conventional coal power stations, that heat is then used to power a steam turbine to produce electricity Tomo mate. There's only one way to get that much energy from a hand full of Thorium....
TOMO 26,236
Yeh 8 grams it says,,,looks a real nice motor
Born Hunter 17,775
Lol, yeah it does..... and as with most flash feckers with such a flash motor you'll probably get a nasty dose of something while in it.... only ya GP doesn't have any antibiotics for Neutron radiation! Born Hunter 17,775
Still, pretty inspiring technology. One day, who knows, we might all be driving nuclear powered cars.......
Malt 379
I thought cleaner thorium power was a bit of a white elephant because it still needs to be converted into uranium to work, don't it?
Born Hunter 17,775
I thought cleaner thorium power was a bit of a white elephant because it still needs to be converted into uranium to work, don't it? I'm not 100% sure how it would work exactly but yes. Thorium requires an additional neutron source for a sustainable fission reaction because such a low percentage of it is actually 'fissionable'. That source is usually Uranium two three something, lol.
Cliff Ray 185
It doesn't need to be converted to uranium, but it does need a small amount of uranium or plutonium to make it fission.
