seen these a few times and wouldnt mind having a go at one. only thing i was concerned is if the pressure builds too much or too fast and the pipe blows sending shattared plastic into your face.

 

would you have to thread the end of the pipe to fit the screw bit onto the end or is it slotted in and glued in place. last option sounds a bit risky

If I was to make one of them, I would make it out of steel pipe not quite as big bore as them and then runn it of one of my scuba cylinders......... I wonder if a spud can take 250 bar ?¿?¿

Plus, would it be FAC ?¿?

 

Honnest officer, i was only "throwing" a spud at that cat because it was peeing in my flower beds.

Hell mate, if you just throw a good sized spud it has more then 12 ft/lbs. And as in this case, it uses a propellant ( air gas mix ) it would be under fire arms in the mad UK for sure. :whistling: I can just see some chav holding up a bank with one of them and a sack full of spuds :D

There's loads of instructions on the youtube and net to make one of them.... only most are made in the US and our parts arent the same , i went and got some bits earlyer will post a pick if it works good

keep us posted Fledge. ive got loads of pipe here pvc and cast iron, think the cast could be abit heavy though id imagine you just epoxyed the ignitor in or other glue but the screw end has got me. do you buy the pipe ready threaded, glue a threaded end on or thread it yourself?? any ideas??

I've made loads of these ,frozen oranges are the best ammo or put a spud down it then fill with black widow size bbs or even water but you need balls of steel to fire it ,ive never had a pipe burst it only happens if you use the grey pvc stuff try and get the black stuff ,hairspray will only build to a certain pressure which is well bellow that of the pipe start useing butane petrol ect then your on your own ,also make sure you sharpen the end of the pipe so it cuts an airtight seal into the spud. you can make a smaller version out of a few pringle tubes taped togeather google it.Last thing these are classed as fire arms mate of mine got charged nothing ever came of it but becareful.

If your going to use plastic pipe id go for poly pro rather than pvc-[bANNED TEXT] and abs

poly pro is usually marked with a p.p

Well i made one These things are fookin mad ! i couldnt find the bits i wanted up b n q so made do with what they had, ended up doing it with the grey stuff as it was the only one there that had a 2 inch adapter on it for the barrel ... i did have one blow out that wasnt very funny one of the blanking blugs i put in one end shot out when ignighted and went through a garden fence panel !!! , mines workin prety good now but needs a better sparker really and thinking of doing another better + safer one ...... i been launching stuff all day useing carb choke cleener ' at its best it will through a spud out to about 300 yards

Cant at the moment mate the battery in the camera is duff ,

 

First one i made is a bit like this one ' same screw on cap .....

 

 

 

have made one like this but not tryed it properly yet .. real easy to do just screws together ..

 

 

ive found that the sparker is the main bit ive only been useing like a bbq lighter and there not really up to it ' doesnt ignight defonatly eatch time . think the best thing would be one out of an old cooker thats what i got me eye out for
