bird 10,013
yeh they can be hard work mate, you really got to like this x. i think you got to really way up the pros +cons with them. They deff good rabbit dogs day+night, but you can get suppose plenty of other xs do the same job just as good, a lot of lads on here got line bred lurchers that get good bags and take any other quarry if need be, so you got really want this type. And its not just hancock either, its the collie as breed of dog it self, they dont suit everybody with that much of the breed in there lurcher 1 Quote Link to post
Gaz_1989 9,539
Haha that first post made me laugh. A bloke on here has got a 3/4 collie 1/4 grey and it has none of the mentioned traits. I couldn't get on with a dog like the ones described but this one I'm taking about is a dream and I would own him tomorrow. I also know of a couple of collie crosses that are certainly NOT just rabbit dogs. I guess same as anything you've gotta get the right one Quote Link to post
STRANGER 948
Very good, had a right laugh at that, 14 years f***ing hell, wouldn't have lasted 14 months. Quote Link to post

Bosun11 537
Honest and refreshing post Jukel, I'd betcha loads of folk feel the same about dogs they have owned right through. Blokes breathing huge sigh's of relief when leaving their local vets (out of earshot of course!) The difference is, i'd bet a few have gone home to write what great dogs they were on THL before asking a million questions about borzoi, saluki, deerhound, bedlington, malamute crosses...!!!
