Kieren 2
My girlfriend recently turned the computer off at the plug whilst I was on the Internet. Went to turn it back on and it wouldn't work. Any ideas? My first thought was the fuse might have blown so I've changed this but still not coming on. Any ideas guys? Cheers, Kieren. paulus 26
no lights, fans etc would suggest a knackered charger, if the lights are on, fans working but a completely blank screen the possibly a dry joint on the graphics card, if theres messages on the screen then it could be a software problem,

All done , Al ! The fan wasn't burnt out - it cut out just after starting up, but ran properly in safe mode. i tried to get to the fan, but got half way and bottled it ! So I took it down the computer shop and some spotty 13 year old sorted it out for her! Thanks for the help though mate !
