I'd go for or an Alex pup if it was me.....touch of both in the mix and seems to throw some good workers, go nice with your cocker.

Cheers Wuyang you obviously know what breeder i went to today. a lot of people slate him but im new to lurchers and dont know many lurcher men. there more blokes in to shooting where i live. Seeing as im keeping the dogs in the house temperament got a lot to do with it too. the hunting style seems interesting if anyone got some more info that would good.

Id go for a beardie x if I was going to get one from Hancock , but I wouldn't get a 3/4 grey to greyhoundy for me ....

I think when they have beardie in them it helps them to switch off when at home , they don't get the softy temp of the border, they don't seem to have the need for being stuck up your arse constantly and they are more independent when out hunting , and there a lot less likely to be ruined by a novice trainer .. And imo the beardie as a bit more fire in them . He as a few nice looking 1/2 beardies on his site I reckon would be worth a punt on instead of a 3/4 grey ...
