Rabid 1,936
Hope this is the right place. When I bought my r10 brand new from the shop, I also bought a spare mag, after prob a week or so plinking and setting up the gun how I liked in the garden, I went out and the first trip the spare mag jammed in the gun, was hells own job to remove without damage, (didn't want to end my night early) Got it out, and it looked out of line, returned to the shop and he was going to send to bsa as he had heard about this problem before, that was a good few weeks back, so rang him to see if new mag had arrived, when he announced, it has not been sent back, rather bsa have sent him instructions how to repair it !!!! He decided not to repair due to springs and such like so has given it to his gunsmith to do. Does this sound right to you lot, I was expecting a new mag as this one has had less than 20 or 30 pellets through it, I am not happy thinking I am getting a repaired one back, what about warranty etc. Quote Link to post
silentshot1 206
You have a case for asking for your money back. Just explain it's not fit for purpose and ask either for a brand new one or your money. Be friendly but persistent and it shouldn't be a problem. 1 Quote Link to post

the big chief 3,099
Ask for a new one I have 2 and mine work fine in my r10 Quote Link to post
Rabid 1,936
When I finally managed to remove it, the holes do not line up properly with the casing, only by a mm or so, but it does not look right, it looked fine before it jammed. This is my spare mag, the original is still fine and that's had about 1000 through it now. I think I will wait and see what happens, when I go to collect, if it has been repaired rather than replaced I will refuse and ask for a new one, I still can't see how bsa would let him open it up, work on it, and it still be under warranty ? Matt Smith 143
Pellet size is an issue with the mags. JSB Exacts work perfectly in mine, JSB Exact Express jam all the time as they're slightly shorter and when you load them in the mag they skew slightly. If you load the skirt first from the front of the mag you don't have the issue. Quote Link to post
Rabid 1,936
I have been using accupells, fine in my other mag, don't get why this one went bandy so quick, the gun shop guy said he had heard about this problem before though. Quote Link to post
