Magwitch 687
Last two times out ferreting I've only had 4............Last winter flooded most of the hedgerows which use to hold a fair few rabbits. Quote Link to post

Born Hunter 17,763
I'm not in kent but I'm sure we have VHD for the first time this year that I have noticed. There's some really weird shit going on this year round here though. I'm finding crows, rabbits, a hare and a roe doe dead with no indication to the cause, just like they suddenly got overcome with weakness and died..... Yet no shortage of quarry other than fox. On saturday I found a Badger literally lying dead in the field 20m from a set-a-side field margin! No sign of foul play, just a bit of blood around it's nose. f*****g weird stuff...... Sheppey rabbit 1
Hello to all,new to this site,so just add my bit about the lack of rabbits in certain areas, much of the ferretingI do is on fruit farms in the Faversham/Canterbury areas, fruit farmers don't seem bothered by the fox numbers so to get a debate going I'll ask [BANNED TEXT] effect does a good fox population have on the bunnies? poacherkev 64
I've been ferreting / hunting with the lurchers for 30 years and I've never known a year like it !!!!!! The rabbits have just disappeared back in the summer there was hundreds of young running around now there's none. My daughter works on a power station and the rabbits are untouched there and even they have all disappeared .. Its very strange but it seems it's all over the country Quote Link to post
James Mcintosh 0
I've done a few warrens that have been brilliant a few years ago yet this session not one bolt very strange Quote Link to post
