Bolting A Few For The Dogs

Had a look out today with vin,, he had his two,,, I had my two,, including the terrorist ,,,mainly bolting for the dogs,,, I used a net or two on some warrens,,, I don't think vin used a net all day,,

 

Did some real steep banks,, with almost vertical drops,, proper hairy stuff... had some nice runs ,, from the sedge grass,, it's great watching the dogs use there nose in that stuff,, marking pointing,, then sriking cobra style,,,

 

I had an interesting few minuets playing mind games with a rabbit in a two holer,,, the rabbit won,,, out smarted by a bunny,,, I had blocked one hole with a rock,, and put 1 net on the other,,,, the rabbit head butted the rock out way,,,, the fecker..... And the dog missed it..

 

good to see the rabbits getting some weight on now,,, had so many poor specimens reasently,, was carry 32 the other week no probs,,, today with 22 on my shoulders,, was more than enough...

 

Ended the day with 38,,, vin will have a few pics and some film..

Yes mate,, she had her gums round a few today,,,lol,,

some very steep banks up there today..The pictures dont really show how high up we were..I was teetering on the edge at a few points and it was a bit tricky..

The dogs did really well..I used the nets on 1st warren..but gave up after that and went comando ( no nets )..

The dogs had some really tricky catches, especially the downhill racers,they were very hard work for the poor dogs.

Its not that they are deep sets..its just sometimes they are under a nice big slab of rock that you got to work around or through..lol.

Sound like fun mate ..you must of had some hard days digging when the rabbits purch up under the rocks..some of them look big lumps of rock to move..

After a while the dogs start to make it look way too easy,even if they attempt to run downhill...Dont get me wrong there not all like this and it does get interesting when you get double or tripple bolts at the same time...
