Robie_n 10
How do you's go lamping without a collar when it comes to slipping the dog on quary/game? My labs don't wear collars incase they they get snagged in a bush or if there in the water on a branch, me lurch pup has 1 on comes in handy fro grabbing him Quote Link to post
paulus 26
I do and tbh I don't personally know anyone that doesn't,70lb dogs straining on a bit of rope round its neck don't appeal to me. all dogs dont strain some will stand patiently and wait to be slipped, the same as some dogs will walk to heal yet you see others pulling owners across the fields, Quote Link to post

Robie_n 10
I thought it'd be a chew with a slip lead getting the dog off warl keeping the lamp on, lol the pups to quick for me to grab his scruff when he's having a lunge at sumat or sum one, hell learn though Quote Link to post
whitefeet4190 1,725
Also my mates bitch does back flips when another dog is running and she worked out how to get out off a slip lead so collar and rope works for her Quote Link to post

Pffft, in 30 odd years of running lurchers I've never had a collar related accident, seen a few hit trees, get run over and run off quarrys but never had a collar accident. 5 Quote Link to post
