British Army Gore-Tex Boots

hello all can any 1 give a bit of advise ,i was thinking about buying a pair of british army gore-tex boots.i have had lowa's in the but the sole's dont last because i have to walk on roads a few miles every day to get to the land i go on. so i was thinking of buying cheaper boots. im normally a size 9..but i had to get 9 an a half M in lowa's..

i was looking on ebay at the army pro boots Gore-tex would any 1 on here no what there like for size..if im normally size 9 M would i need a 9 or a 10 ect?

and was looking at the Gore-tex Extreme cold weather Boots..what are they like for size.. which 1 is the best of these 2 boots?

I got the cold weather boots and you can't knock them for the price, I got the 10m and i'm normally a 10 they are fine for length but they are plenty wide enough, if I was buying in a shop I would of tried the narrower ones to see.

i wear ecw goretex ones im normaly a size 7, and got a 7m and they fit perfect

I've got the ecw gortex boot and I'm a 9 I've got a 9 and they spot on, comfortable and warm I would Deffo recommend them

I was issued both sets of the boots you have the links on.

 

The pro boot was good around camp and doing the fitness tests in and that's about it, they break up and let the water in. And then take ages to dry.

 

However the ECW boot I still have (oops...I forgot to hand them back in) and think they're great boots. I walk the moors, go ferreting etc etc; in them and still going fine after 3 years. They have one let down though....that if you break them in and the crease ends up where the eyelet is, then the eyelet pops out. I live with it.

Green lowas for the forces?... think your mistaken buddy.

 

The new boot colour is brown..

 

And theres various makes and models available... the best or which are altberg ...

I got a pair of boots off a link on this site and im impressed with them after a polish i spray them with a waterproof spray and as of yet ive had no problems with them

The boots was vibrant green the british army commissioned them from LOWA then never ran with the idea, they was listed on ebay my mate sent me a link and i saw them for sale, but just had a look now and couldnt find the listing
