Haggis81 147
My flight splash was coming on really good but it's been frozen for over a week! The weather will surly put it back, that's the problem with the wee splashes they freeze to quick!
bell 3,606
Mate, I've shot over frozen splashes before. As long as food was there the duck still came.........can remember a hen wigeon that slid 20 yards across the ice when shot lol. Bell

bell 3,606
Any duck shit on the ice mate ? No doubt they will eventually go elsewhere but once it thaws they will lock onto it again and the frozen food will drop in. Best of luck mate. Bell
Beefbeefbeef 10
I find the ducks move on to moving water pretty quickly when it's frozen however you can still bring the odd curious duck into range using a few decoys and a duck call, particularly the ducks which were using the pond before it got frozen. They often come for a look at dusk.
Haggis81 147
what duck call do you use?

As for the pond freezing if it's solid ice and there are other places with open water I wouldn't waste the feed. They won't come.
