First shot of this season. This day last week. Had a choice of 4 other stags, all a lot bigger but decided to go for more tender meat (and an easier drag back to low ground!)

Hi sounder,

No it's a Sako Finnlite in 6.5x55. Had a look at the Tikka but thought the Sako felt much better balanced.

Bought this time last year but Gardai took so long processing licence that season was over by the time i got it. Landowner got a Section 42 (out of season licence) . Only my third beast with it.

Yeah live in SE Ireland but have stalking on west coast as well.
