thats a proper bike bet theres not many in that condition about.id have to ride it though ruined loads of clean retro bikes and parts then wished id put them up.but the old ones are fun to ride ive bought brand new carbon bike in the past and sold it a year later because it weren't getting used i preferred my older bikes and spent the money on old parts for my retros losing nearly a grand.if i was racing though new bikes are quicker most of the time

Shit, remember as a small lad the racers with the brake cable routed along the top tube, if you couldn't touch the floor, it used to cane your gooch* getting on or off, or heaven forbid, crashing!!

Just back from bike shop. Holy mother flooker that was an experience lol the selection was madness. I got the kids a bike each. Couldn't help me self lol ended up drawn to the Dawes bike range got me daughter a nice rigid frame mountain bike and me lad a full suspension Ali mountain bike all singing all dancing lol it just looked as tho the bike would stand up to me lads abuse can't wait till Christmas to see therefaces lol think ill bebuying me self a decent road bike come spring lol

got myself a road bike last October ...im no bradley wiggins but enjoy the exercise and dropped 20pound in weight without changing diet in 12 month ..not keen on riding in winter but come spring I'll be putting in the miles ..works out ok ...hammer the dogs thru winter and hammer myself thru summer lol ..

What have you got mate? I ain't got funds or need for one of these custom built jobbys but I seen some great looking giant and Claud butler models in caygills today an at around 500 they seem perfect for me. Some where thousands Tho and some of the frames were nuts lol

:icon_redface: Iv got an s specialised I got from the skip tip here lol I put it in today to get we cables and tyres an a service and that whilst getting kids bikes. Maybe I'm being daft about the road bike but it brought back memory's seeing them skinny wheels and drop bars lol

I'm glad I never took kids to shop. How embarrassing would it have been when I was more excited than them lol I nearly bought one there and then but guy in shop advised against it and instead told me get old un serviced for now. Same as kids bikes he could have took a lot more money than he did h advised us on cheaper bikes built to same standard.

Ha ha fu*k the rollers mate ..mind numbing. i get plenty exercise and to be honest my spare time is limited ..got four kids so my bike rides are mainly very early mornings whilst everyone else in bed ...and getting out with the dogs takes priority during winter ..
