Geordieboy 23
Alreet lads, what's the best way to clean my rifle barrel when I'm testing different pellets? I know it's better if you clean it between each different make of pellet and I understand why, but how do you guys go about it? ATB Geordieboy Quote Link to post
Geordieboy 23
Guess you must just stick your willy in the end hey lads? Thanks ATB Geordieboy Quote Link to post
SimonC_Here 36
Stick a fishing line loop through it and pull a patch back through. Repeat until clean. I've not tried shooting felt pellets through my Airwolf as I'm worried they will get caught up in the shroud. Works fine for my Raptor though. Quote Link to post

Geordieboy 23
Reet, for all you folks following this thread in anticipation of some very sound advice from the Airgun masses...I have done some extensive research on yours and my behalf, and have discovered there are things called "AIR RIFLE CLEANING KITS" Lots of companies make them so not sure which is best. All you who used the willy technique can give it a rest. Simples!! Geordieboy Quote Link to post

TimS 49
Napier cleaning kit. Comes with pull through, patches and cleaning fluid. Costs about £25. Felt pellets are useless. Done the same as you when testing pellets in my MK4 and the felt pellets ruined my testing as the barrel wasn't clean, I found that my MK4 loves a clean barrel, really tightens up the groups. Clean, shoot 20-30 to lead it up and groups are one hole out to 40yds with JSB Exacts 4.53's. Happy days. Really recommend the Napier kit, comes in a nice little case too. Tim 2 Quote Link to post

I all so used a couple soaked in gun oil then put in a zip bag to clean my guns http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lint-Free-Chemical-Resistant-Cloth-28cm-x-38cm-10-Sheets-/390515256620 Quote Link to post
