goldfinger 135
I normally use 4oz nets so decided to try a 6oz,got one second hand the chap told me that he got it from Bridport Nets it had only been used ones,so I tried it out today with ferrets encircling a large warren,it held every rabbit that hit,the net it self is well made plenty of bagging 100% I was told good strong poles with grommets all in all a very good net. I also found 6oz although heaver is easier to handle less debris and easier to remove entangled rabbits. So now I have 4oz for clean sites and 6oz for more contaminated sites. Quote Link to post

Guest scramble
the net i saw from bridport wasnt very good. 14 poles unevenly spaced, the basket was a heavy lump of shite too Quote Link to post

smithie 2,443
i try set mine every 5 yds. im not perfect i get it wrong well at least once a season... i dont use quickset but i have tried it and was not very keen on it. i would have thought on a quickset it might be a little better to have the poles closer than 7 yds as you cant throw an extra loop to tighten the top line unless your net is set high.. closer poles to my mind would make less sag in the top line. for my money i think i need more poles if i was buying a new system.. 1 Quote Link to post
