General lee 979
I have the same thing happen to me quite abit I keep the bulldog on a lead unless I'm sure no one is about but I let the terrier run loose she ain't aggressive atall but she has been chased by a number of dogs just recently she was attacked by a chocolate Labrador it chased her into a hedge then saw my other dog and attacked him I simply drop the lead and within 20 seconds the lab had changed his mind and quickly left haha I always just let the dogs get on with it if there dog comes to mine it's there problem Quote Link to post
RubyTex 1,957
When and where exactly should "pet owners" exercise their dogs off the lead then? I couldn't care less where pet owners walk their dogs it's the fact they're more often than not out of control 2 Quote Link to post

I couldn't care less where pet owners walk their dogs it's the fact they're more often than not out of control THAT's different then. My dog is often off the lead but she is 100% under control. Not much point having a dog if they can't run is it? Quote Link to post

No i agree they need to run, i don't think anyone is complaining about that though it's more complaints about owners allowing their dogs off without 100% recall thus causing havoc! Quote Link to post
Astral 253
I sometimes walk one of my housemates dogs, a doberman who looks the part, but literally she is soft as shit and hides behind me if there is any loud noises  I had some lad in a tracksuit and a staffy walking him up the road come bowling over all growl and yap yap yap. He did NOTHING bar say, "Go'wan let ya dog bite her f***ing bitch needs teaching a lesson" I was gobsmacked. 1: This dog is well trained and I don't allow her to snarl or start acting aggressively. 2: That Staf gets hold of her long neck shes a gonner. I was so shocked I didn't know how to react! Quote Link to post
Accip74 7,112
It's not that they are 'Pet Owners', it's just they are fu*king idiots in general.....I've seen plenty of out of control working dogs, on shoots in particular..... I was walking 3 fell terriers on leads on a public footpath over the fields one day,now the local organised shoot thought it was a good idea to set up a drive with a public footpath running between the guns & beaters...... So I thought f*ck em' & walked down the path mid drive, next thing I've got a couple big stupid choc labs bounding over & the owner thinking it was funny......until...one of his labs was screaming with 3 fells locked on, then he was screaming..... A lot of verbal abuse was exchange, with me walking away with full apologies from the guns & my fells still on leads spitting out chocolate fur......it's just idiots, not just pet owners 3 Quote Link to post

TheLurcherBoy 69
your not in the wrong? why should you mussel your dog or walk somewhere else or walk at a different time what ever you do dont mussel the dog because if he does get attack hes bring a big stick next time and aim for the dogs owners head... only way to sort it out Quote Link to post
