running addiction 207
I'd be looking for proven killers rather than the lines pal, but know a few from Kahn lines doing very well Quote Link to post
Saluki246 1,053
From what i hear and seen, Khan has produced some great dogs. Mike that is over here is throwing some very good coursing dogs, his sire was Khan. However, as with any other pure breed, their is other lines out their that are doing well too, some imports that have come in, are very good. Just like to mention here, salukis are from my experience and others, are not like other lurchers, they need carefull handling, takes a lot for them to bond with you sometimes, anyone thinking of getting one, make sure you do a lot of homework, i am no expert, far better folks on here that know them then me, just some experience i have got over the last while.. 6 Quote Link to post

Too many think big name stud pup be fine ....gakes a lot of factors to get a real un the owner playinv the main part ....goox luck pal khan put in a lot of wind and solid conformation into pups the thing is thou you could get the best dog and best bitch and it could go totally the wrong way but if the dog has been across a few bitches of different back grounds and has produced good stock from both shite stock and good stock would you not put it down to it being from the dog?? desertbred 5,490
if you plant good seed in shite soil the crop will be shite. If you do the same with hounds the same happens. You want the best lines and tempremant on both sides if you want consistancy in the breeding not the odd one that might make the grade, still every one to thier own Edited November 23, 2013 by desertbred 6 Quote Link to post

PoshPikey 560
I have a bitch out of Khan - she has been better than i ever dreamt. She has also taught me that when you stick Saluki blood in a mix - you create a very different type dog that takes time to mature and needs a lot of patience, if you have patience and don't rely on brute force to train your dogs it could work well for you. 4 Quote Link to post
