Any ideas?

On her chest...They remind me of the puss spots dogs get from nettles but on a huge scale.

You can see the dark matted hair, ones i squeezed last night and have since leaked, she cannot clean then where they are. They are almost completely covering her chest.

The only thing i can think of is the steroids she is on at present are exaserbating the nettle stings???

Steroids weaken the immune system drastically. Some of my dogs get these, though much smaller when they've been running through thistles: I'd hazard a guess that they have become more infected because of her reduced immunity to infection: why is the dog on steroids?

Try putting tea tree oil on the spots: probably best to dilute it 50/50 with water as they are open wounds, or try Propolis: natural antibacterial brilliant at clearing up nasties like that, and it wouldn't hurt to syringe some down the dog's throat as well: 10 drops in a couple of spooonfuls of warm water. I'd try no to go the anitbiotics route as she is already being stuffed with steroids.........are they working by the way?

i agree with skycat (but i was told by my doctor that they suppress the immune system same thing either way  ) i had steroids for three months and i caught every little cold going any cut i got got infected no matter how clean i kept it and they made me tired ! i got a rose thorn in my finger and within 24 hours it was pussy so maybe its a result of thorns and the steroids :hmm:

or it could be a side affect of the steroids as i got spots for the first time since i was a teenager when i was on them

Thanks all.

Im just going to keep it as clean as possible for now, surgical scrub, as i feel more comfortable using that the amount of times daily required to keep it clean.

The roids worked, but as soon as you wean her off she starts again, so she is back on them untill her hair grows in enough, to wean her off again before next lot of tests, otherwise she will end up permanently bald.
