Brilliant bit of kit these, I have got the red and green led, with the red one you can stretch the range to 200 easy on foxes.

Thanks for confirming how good these are... i have blue white red and green i like to change colours to stop my perms getting lamp shy...so far its worked perfectly... i use on fac air 22lr and hmr17..

Do you have just the 1 or are you selling these items ? if so do they come with different colour lenses also ? Thanks

Hi these torches do not require filters or lens as the cree itself is coloured so you get full on brightness of the coloured cree, they are available in red green blue and white, i have all colours myself and they all work great though the blue is weird colour a night and would only be suitable for closer ranges ratting in barns etc i do use it for rabbits too as i like to change colours but keep that for FAC air rifle..

I have used the torch out to 150yards with my HMR17...its clear even at that range...i have several torches and would estimate this at 300-500 lumens but a very tight beam so it goes further out...I am 100% sure that for rimfire and air rifle use this is the dogs nuts at a budget price and better than some at three times the price ( i know i have had them ) thats why i offer a money back guarantee if your not happy.

Its not always about the lumens its about the reflectors this torch has lot longer reflector than most and smooth finish (no orange peel) which concentrates the beam into a nice tight spot giving longer range than most higher lumen short or orange peel reflectors cree torches,
zoom torches which have an aspherical lens can be focused into a tight beam but are not normally coloured leds and most have 5 functions and are a pain when gun mounted..

top cree torches are fixed aspherical single mode but so is the price £150 plus....

most cree torches have a short reflector give a wide beam especially with an orange peel finish
so would you want a flood or a spot beam?
this torch is defiantly a spot beam it does have some spill (low amount) because it is not aspherical but its more than enough for all rim fires.

Yes you can buy cheaper higher lumens but this is ideal for rifle mounting with spot beam single full power mode in three different colours....simples

I recently upgraded a red cree to 5 modes and fitted the pill ( pill is the block into which the cree is flitted) into one of the bodies it works great in the high med low functions...would be great for foxing as you can lower the power as the fox runs in...

Recently have been experimenting with anti spill tube to fit over the end of the torch this eliminates the spill and you just get the spot beam will update when i have it sussed properly with what to buy and where to get it...its a very cheap fix a few quid at the most...not that you need it but just to get the very best from this amazing torch

due to the interest i have made an order for some more in red and green...

if you want one please PM me and i will put one aside..

.

I do have a couple of white 5 modes for sale same tight beam but extremely bright and good long range £22 plus postage

I reckon that mine with the red led, is brighter than my million cp shooterlight with the red filter on, I have no problem making out the fox, not just his eyes through the scope at 200 yards, it is my first choice to put on the .243 for foxing, if I dont expect to be shooting further, and lets face it most foxes are shot at 60-150 yards, I read somewhere the blue led is very good for shooting in the snow, but dont have the blue one, but the green is good too.

  • Red = Most popular for foxing and lamping rabbits

  • Amber = Also good for foxing, excellent in foggy conditions

  • Green = Specially for spotting animals with sensitive eyes

  • Blue = For highlighting contrast in snow, rain and foggy conditions

Can be used on shotguns too....Recommend two rubber mounts on the bay at £4.50 each and if expect to shoot a lot add some tin foil or foil tape under velcro and rubber to stop melting marks Barrels can get hot in summer driving over stubble...especially section 1s...works well can be used with the end tail pressure pad switch..

After seeing the torch in action I can personally state these torches are good for 150 yds plus and anybody stating that they are only good for "air rifle " ranges must have a alternative agenda  £22 cheap for such a good torch

Haven't been on here in a while and haven't been shooting in a while so I'm deciding so sell some gear and focus on other things.
Firstly is my BSA lightning tactical xl in .177 comes with hawke hd 3-9x40 scope, one piece mounts and a LED ray gl2 torch with flip up red filter and buffalo river case.
Only fault with the gun is the front sling swivel is missing.
I also have a mad dog growler jacket in APG size medium
A top gun skeet vest size medium
      British army Dpm smock medium-large
British army issue jungle boots size 11
Large jack pike shooting hold all
British army cam net unsure of size but large enough for a personal hide
I would like to see £130 for the rifle but I'm open to offers for everything together in a bundle
Collection only for the rifle but the other items I can post and take paypal payments
      I'm in Warminster Wiltshire
      Thanks
