Fenrisulven 0 Posted November 22, 2013 Report Share Posted November 22, 2013 neighbour has made a complaint that dogs are left out in rain no food water shelter etc. says the garden is dangerous and that i have ferrets an chickens also. thats the complaint. inspector left some cards spoke to him today. there where no dogs in the garden either time he visited. there is a shed with pop hole cushons an heater out there. but dogs live in kitchen anyway. he wants to see dogs. ive got no problem with that as they are all in great condition, however reading variouse post i am dubious of having any dealings atall with them http://the-shg.org Whatever you do, don't talk to him or let him in. He is only there to find a reason to prosecute. If hecan'tfind one he will try to find reason to issue an improvement notice. Once he has done that if you then don't comply or let him in he has reason to ask the police to get a warrant for entry. Talk to the SHG on 0744 99 89 411. bobkizzyhugo 40 Posted November 23, 2013 Author Report Share Posted November 23, 2013 all sorted with rspca. with some helpful advice from SHG. basically i told them the could not see my animals nor could they enter my property. the complaint was that the dogs had no shelter or water, both untrue but due to the fact that the dogs live indoors and there was no dogs present any time rspca visited so there was no validity to the complaint. they still wanted to see my dogs, but i told them that the complaint was made in respect of living conditions, so seeing the dogs was not justified. i offered to get qualified vet to check over all my animals and living conditions, then send the rspca a report. they declined and said it wasnt necessary. the fella said that really he just wanted to see if my dogs where marked up because obviously having ferrets i must be into hunting. so for now anyway all good. shg was very helpfull gave me some good information so if anybody else finds themselves having dealings with them dont hesitate to ring shg they also gave me some advice that may be useful to all about insurance. they told me if you join SACS which is about £40 a year you get insurance which will cover legal fees should you ever need to fight the rspca Quote Link to post
