When Does A Animal Become Classed As Feral?

Recommended Posts

A CSPO can't charge you with anything they don't have the power ... The only things you have to tell them is your name and address ... They can't even detain you .............

They can detain you now until a "proper" copper comes along to charge you, they've had there powers revised now.

I tried not to make too much of a scene as knowing my luck they'll give me grief.

JB it doesn't matter wether they belong to someone or they are feral , your dog accidently chases them there is nothing anyone can do , you arnt breaking any laws

To add to this you can only be formally charged at a police station and to do that evidence has to be quite strong. You only have to give your details if they have GROUNDS to reasonably suspect that you are involved in a crime.

They have to give you the grounds eg somebody saw you, CCTV etc.

Make sure your Dogs are licensed especially if the waste ground is public so one less thing if they get rspca involved.

Empty head should be looking after the kittens as its wilful neglect as it stands and she isn't making any effort to look after them.

Why do I need my dogs licensed, dog licenses were abolished weren't they?

Edited to add.....I'm well aware of my rights, the crazy part about is that a community officer is taking the word of a crazy cat woman. :D

I wouldn't be so sure..... If your dogs nailed someones cat in a park you'd be done for having your dog out of control. If your dogs nail a cat by accident on permission or your own land then that's seen as a genuine accident and lawful. I'm just not so sure that you aren't technically breaking some law?

Your dogs can kill a cat in a public place. It's recognised that even the steadiest of dogs can be hard to control when confronted with a cat. As long as you don't slip your dog on them or encourage them, then you'll be fine.

PCSOs are hugely underqualified to talk to you about anything and tend to discuss the law how they see it rather than it actually is. Insist they get a real policeman round as you will only speak to a real cop.

Can you imagine them radioing through to the police station for a cat-related issue?
